New Blood For Duplicate Bridge

Clearwater Duplicate Bridge Club

Hi, My Name is Jerry and I am certified Duplicate Bridge Director.

I have been playing bridge for many years more than 20. We are trying to generate
new or inexperienced players to our Bridge Club, In Clearwater, Fl. We have started a new
bridge game which I am directing Wed night where only new and less experienced
players can play. This has been done so our new players are less intimidated playing against
more superior and or experienced players and can win some MP too.

We are providing a short 1/2 hr lesson on bridge basics where we have more experienced
players teaching and donating their time. The game time is at 7:15 PM Wednesday nights with the short lesson starting at 6:45 PM.

It is an old wives tale that all bridge players who play duplicate or old. That is not true and
there are many young players also and some very good ones, as we are reaching out to our high schools and teaching a class for them too.

The other thing we have going is a Mentor program for new players. this is where they can play with a more experienced player. these are the only experienced players that may play in this invitational game., as long as they play with their mentees.
